What could be better than caramelizing onions in honey? Possibly nothing. However, there is a potentially close runner up: Onions caramelized in honey AND whiskey! Throw some potatoes in there, some Italian parsley, a holly amount of salt, some more whiskey, and then fry up some beef, make some flour tortillas, and SHABOOM! Your life becomes a spiraling realization of yum and all yumness in this world.
The whiskey added an acceptionally nice flavor to the potatoes especially, but cooking them with the onions was key. The sweetness of the honey balanced out the bite of the whiskey and the Italian parsley made it fresh… did I forget to mention the Crema Fresca? Oh goodness! Don’t forget that, or the wine, for that matter.
